Combination Skin Care

Combination skin. It is named combination skin because it has all the features of dry and oily skin types. This skin type has medium pores, a smooth and even texture, good circulation, healthy color, may tend toward dryness on the cheeks while being oily in the t-zone. This type of skin is very common, and it should be treated as if it were two different types of skin.
You know you have combination skin when:
·    In some areas of your face it can feel tight after washing; it can be flaky, look dull or feel rough
·    In other areas, typically the T-zone, your skin looks shiny, feels greasy and is prone to pimples and blackheads.
Here are some simple ways to manage combination skin:
Cleanse: use a mild cleanser on your entire face up to twice a day.
Moisturize: use a good moisturizer on the dry areas only.
Balance: look for products that normalise and toner your skin, such as those that contain alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs or fruit acids) or retinols, a Vitamin A derivative.
Control: use oil-absorbing make-up on the oily areas of your face to help control shine.
Oil secretion usually intensifies during puberty. After forty years of age, many women are faced with the problem that their skin type has changed. It became dry. Therefore dermatologists advise women after 40 years of age to use nutritionally rich moisturizing creams.
Take a skin test to determine your skin type.
