The skin acts as a protective layer covering the whole body, and provides a balance between internal and external environments. In order to properly choose and use products for skin care, you need to know what type of skin you have.
Most women don't know exactly what type of skin they have. Determining your skin type is not as easy as it seems. The constant uses of various cleansing agents, toners, moisturizers and decorative cosmetics have some major effects on your skin and may create a false impression.
The type of skin have often varies with age, sun exposure and the improper use of daily moisturizers, but with the right hygienic care you can keep your skin in good condition permanently. Each skin type has its own characteristics and requires special cosmetic agents for the care. 
1. Wash your face with a cleansing agent, but do not apply any cream.
2. In an hour and a half look in the mirror… and take a self skin test.
Combination type
To verify this, we must use a thin sheet of paper towel and press against nose, forehead, chin and cheeks. Than answer these questions:
a) Look at the tissues attached to the nose, forehead and chin (T-zone). Can you see distinct traces of oil?
b) Does the skin on the cheeks and temporal area look smooth, with small pores?
c) Are the pores larger on the nose, forehead and chin area? Is there acne?
d) Does the skin on and around the nose often glitter / shine?
e) Is your skin sensitive in general?
f) Is the skin on the forehead and cheeks annoyed and rough often, especially in the winter?
g) Is your skin oily in the summer?
If you answered yes to most of these questions, your skin is referred to as the combination skin type.
Oily type
a) Are there traces of oil visible on all sheets?
b) Are the printouts of cheeks as visible as prints around the nose, forehead and chin?
c) Are there noticeable pimples / acne?
Normal type
Usually has very few problems, and is constantly maintained by proper skin care treatments.
Dry type
a) Pores of the skin are generally visible, usually small.
b) Skin seems dull, a bit rough.
c) Color is rosy-reddish. And you may be just over 25, but you see the first wrinkles around the eye area.
d) Unprotected sun exposure, cold temperatures and the wind usually cause redness and irritation.
e) Even at a younger age you did not have problems with acne.
